Foxhole B&B, St Cross South Elmham, Suffolk
... for a perfect, peaceful stay whatever the season

Nestled in the small Suffolk hamlet of St Cross South Elmham, Fox Cottage was, until the 1960's the village pub. The pub’s former bottle store was converted some years ago into self-contained guest accommodation – named “Foxhole” which consists of a spacious ensuite bedroom, and living area with woodburner and private deck.

Hosts Jan North and Andrew Wallis are self confessed foodies, and take great delight in cooking for guests.

Guests can opt to eat outside on the private B&B deck or in the South facing rose garden. For cooler days, the conservatory provides a bright and sunny retreat, whilst in winter the cosy glow of the wood burner is irresistible.
Guests exploring the area can also request packed lunches or picnics, simple suppers and evening meals.

The network of quiet lanes are ideal for exploring on foot or bicycle. Slightly further afield are the market towns of Beccles and Bungay, the RSPB reserve Minsmere and Snape Maltings, while the Heritage Coast with its unspoilt Suffolk seaside treasures of Southwold and Dunwich is a short drive away.
